The Community of Watergate is a scenic, water accessible community in Annapolis, Maryland, on Thomas Point Road between the South River and Fishing Creek. The community was established in the 1960's and has sixty-one individually built homes, of which thirty-three are waterfront. For those homes that do not have direct water access, there is a newly rebuilt community pier with 25 slips. The pier is part of a large community recreational area that has basketball and volley ball courts, swings and a small beach with picnic tables. Our community recreational area fronts on Fishing Creek with a direct view of the historic Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. Watergate is a family friendly community, which hosts several social events each year, including our Summer Picnic and Happy Hour Socials at the recreational area's beach, and our Annual Holiday parties hosted at different member's homes. Watergate’s location and nearby amenities truly offer its residents a wonderful lifestyle. Thomas Point State Park is within walking distance of the community, and Historic Downtown Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy are just a quick 10 minute drive. Quiet Waters Park, a 340-acre waterfront park on South River, is also only a few minutes away.

QUICK ACCESS INFORMATION
Dear Neighbors,
Our 41 year old daughter Amy Bauman has a rare blood/bone marrow cancer called Primary Myelofibrosis. Only about 15,000 people in the U.S. have it.
PLEASE consider being a donor - for her - or for the thousands of others who have similar blood/bone marrow cancers. Getting registered as a donor is really simple (you must be between 18-55 years old & in good overall health). The website GETSWABBED.ORG explains how you can register to be a possible donor. You simply order a test kit, then take a swab from your cheek & return it in the mail. You then get on a National register & just may be a match for Amy or some other person who desperately needs a donor. If you are over 55 or in poor help, please let your younger less "seasoned" friends know about the donor registry.
Amy has a website at CARINGBRIDGE.ORG where she posts her story, journal updates, and words of support from friends who care. It is a great inspiration just to read her updates and support from others. She is in good spirits with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE and is an inspiration to me. I love her very much.
Thanks,
Ralph
